Nicole scherzinger solo album
Nicole scherzinger solo album
Nicole Scherzinger will not be held back. The Pussycat Dolls singer is rebounding from the 2007-2008 failure to launch of her perpetually delayed solo debut, Her Name Is Nicole, by wrapping up work on a new breakaway effort.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the as-yet-untitled disc was produced by Lady Gaga compatriot RedOne and features collaborations with Jay Sean and Ne-Yo. She's already debuted the slinky Joseph Kahn-directed video for the first single, the Euro-trancey "Poison," in which she sports a skintight ninja outfit as she dance-fights with baddies.
After winning "Dancing With the Stars" in the spring, Scherzinger promised to get a Pussycat Dolls album, with the group's new lineup, out by the end of the year, but it now seems like her solo disc will drop first.
That's not the only thing Scherzinger has in the works, either. When asked how her new album might impact her rumored role as a judge on Simon Cowell's "The X-Factor," Scherzinger told the Reporter, "I don't know about X-Factor ... I'm working on my album right now ... I'm excited about touring and stuff. If Simon [Cowell] asked me, I'd have to sit down and really think about it, because it would be a really big commitment." Scherzinger has already guest-judged on the British version of Cowell's singing show, but the cast for the American version, due next fall, has not yet been announced.
While she may be sitting out Cowell's show, Scherzinger is also reportedly up for a cameo role in the upcoming "Men in Black 3" movie. Working alongside Betty White, she said she'll have a "small villain role ... I say a couple of lines and then I die."
